The energy was palpable at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas as Jennie Park, Associate at Gleneagles Country Club, claimed victory at the Inaugural Lajitas Golf Resort Women’s Section Championship presented by A.PUTNAM. Shooting a stellar 4-under-par to win by six strokes, Park’s triumph was more than an individual achievement - it was a celebration of the unstoppable momentum of women’s golf in Northern Texas.

Shooting a stellar 4-under-par to win by six strokes, Park’s triumph was more than an individual achievement - it was a celebration of the unstoppable momentum of women’s golf in Northern Texas.
Park, who started the final round tied with Kim Paez (PGA Member at Ping Inc.), found her stride with steady ball-striking and composure on the greens. Her 1-under-par final round delivered her first win since joining Gleneagles Country Club earlier this year. As an alumna of the Ewing Automotive NTPGA Junior Tour and collegiate golf at TCU and Texas A&M, her win embodies the promising trajectory from junior ranks to professional success.
“It’s really hard to win in golf…it feels really good. It’s definitely a confidence booster after going back into competitive tournament play, so I’m extremely happy with this week,”
Park was quick to credit her support system, including playing partners Angella and Kim, family, and the mentorship at Gleneagles, for fueling her championship run. The camaraderie, competitive atmosphere, and shared passion for the game made the two-day event one to remember for all 22 participants competing for a $7,500 purse.
