Every January, we return to the place where A. PUTNAM began. Before we head back to Orlando for the 2027 PGA Show, we want to step back and share who we are, who we design for, and why the club has always been our home.
A. PUTNAM is a women's golf lifestyle brand for women who love the game, love their lives outside of it, and expect their wardrobe to work hard for both. That sentence has guided every collection since our first.
The Woman We Design For
She plays, she travels, and she entertains. She might tee off at eight, chair a meeting at eleven, and host friends for dinner on the terrace that evening. She is a member, a guest, a resort visitor and often the person organizing everyone else's day.
What she does not want is a golf costume. Too much women's golf apparel leans on novelty prints, boxy cuts and technical fabrics that look nothing like the rest of her wardrobe. She wants pieces she will reach for long after the round, in sizes that fit her, from petite to extended.
Resort-to-Sport®, Defined
Our registered positioning is Resort-to-Sport®: pieces that move from the course to the clubhouse and every moment in between. In practice, that means technical fabrics with sun protection, stretch and moisture management, cut into silhouettes that belong at dinner as much as on the first tee.
We think of it as more with less. A polo with enough polish for lunch. A skort that works with a cardigan for the drive home. A travel pant that rolls into a carry-on and comes out ready. From tee time to dinner, without a change.
Built Inside the Club
A. PUTNAM lives where she plays. From the very beginning, we have built our business around private clubs, resort pro shops and the green grass retailers who know their members by name, and we have prioritized partnerships with clubs known for their hospitality.
Those partners shape everything we do. A great club shop director knows what her members will respond to before they do, and the conversations we have with these teams every season feed directly into what we design next. Over the coming weeks, we will introduce you to a few of them.
Recognized Along the Way
Since launching at the 2023 PGA Show, A. PUTNAM has been featured in Forbes, Sports Illustrated and First Call Golf. The recognition matters to us, but the measure we care about most is simpler: the women who come back to the shop, season after season, asking what is new.
